SECTION 1 - PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED
When you make a transaction on Butterfly Kingdom, as part of our buying and selling process, we gather personal details such as your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number.
When you browse Butterfly Kingdom, we also automatically receive the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, which allows us to obtain more details about the browser and operating system you are using.
As part of e-mail marketing, with your permission, we may send you e-mails about Butterfly Kingdom about new developments and other upgrades or about your pending purchase orders.

How do we obtain your consent?
When you choose to share your details with us to process a business transaction, verify your credit card, complete an order, make a delivery or return a payment, we will assume that you have given us your consent to the gathering of your personal information.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY
Butterfly Kingdom is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online business platform that enable us to sell Butterfly Mania's services and products to you.
Your data is stored in Shopify's storage system and databases. In the general Shopify application, your data is stored on a secure server protected by a firewall.
For payment, if you make your purchase through a direct payment gateway, Shopify will also store your credit card details. This information is enciphered in a manner consistent with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transactions are stored for as long as necessary to finalize your purchase. After your order is complete, the purchase process information is destroyed. Thus, we do not have direct access to the order information you used to place your order. This data travels through Shopify and the payment gateways.
In fact, all direct payment gateways are PCI-DSS compliant. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) is set by the five major card payment networks (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card and JCB). These standards allow us to ensure the secure handling of credit card data when you make online purchases on Butterfly Kingdom and by its service partners.
SECTION 5 - SERVICES PROVIDED BY THIRD PARTIES
In general, the services we use from third party vendors will only capture, use and share your information to the limited extent necessary to provide the services they are performing for us, such as payment processing.
Some of the vendors, however, such as payment gateways and other payment processing companies, have their separate privacy policies concerning the types of information we are asked to provide to them in the course of your purchase transaction on Butterfly Kingdom.
SECTION 6 - SECURITY
To protect your personal data, we take every reasonable step and follow the highest industry practices to help ensure that it is not lost, misdirected, altered, accessed, or destroyed in an inappropriate manner.
In the instance that you supply us with your credit card information, it will be encrypted through the use of the SSL security protocol and stored with AES-256 encryption. This means that no single human being will have access to the full card number. While no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
COOKIES
Below is a list of cookies that we use. We have listed them below so that you can choose whether or not to allow them.
_session_id, is a unique session identifier that allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).
_shopify_visit, is a 30 minute time limit for storing cookies since your last visit. After that, no data is stored. This cookie file is used by Butterfly Mania's internal statistics tracking system to record the number of visits.
This cookie expires at midnight of the following day based on the visitor's location. This cookie file calculates the number of visits to a store per unique customer.
storefront_digest, is also a unique identifier. It is undefined if the store has a password. It is used to know if the current visitor has access or not.
SECTION 7 - AGE OF CONSENT
By using Butterfly Mania, you declare that you are at least the age of legal majority in your country, state or province of residence, and that you have given us your agreement to provide your dependents under the age of majority with the use of Butterfly Mania.
SECTION 8 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Any changes or explanations will take effect right away when they are added to the homepage. If we make any changes to the information in this policy, we will provide notice here that it has been kept current, so that you will know what specific information we obtain, how we use it, and under what specific circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
SECTION 9 - SMS MARKETING
By providing your phone number at checkout and initializing a shopping cart and by joining our marketing sign-up list, you agree that we may send you SMS notifications (for your order including abandoned cart reminders) or SMS marketing offers.
The maximum number of marketing text messages will not be greater than 30 per month. You can cancel any other text message by answering with the word STOP. The dispatch of text messages or the use of automations necessitates that you submit the telephone numbers or names of the addressees. This data will be stored and used to communicate analysis and results of the campaign, including message delivery status, sending status, and in some cases, if a purchase resulted in a sale to Butterfly Kingdom.
If you opt to use our link abbreviator in text posts, we will capture this info to see whether or not the Link was actually clicked and will use it to display the outcome in the analytics. Any other third party facility you may decide to use that is outside the scope of smsbump.com, our text message operator, the system we use to send the text messages (third party link shortener, GA tracking, etc.) you will be referred to their specific third party policies which you must agree to.
When you send the text messaging, we will pass the details to our text operator to carry out the text messaging. Data is only shared with our carrier at the time of the initialization of a marketing and messaging program. If recipients no longer wish to receive messages, they must reply to the message with STOP or contact us by email.
